This year's Gulf Coast Bird Observatory's Summer Bird Camp has been moved to Fall Saturday Camps! Each Saturday will feature a different curriculum of lessons and activities focused on birds and nature. These events are designed for children 8-12, but the whole family is welcome and encouraged to join. Each Saturday costs $5.00 per adult and $10.00 per child, or get the family package for $40.00. Each attendee must be registered two weeks beforehand.

Volunteers collect baseline data on bird populations at the sanctuary. The banding station is an excellent opportunity to see birds up close and to learn all the birds of the Brazosport area.

Join the Gulf Coast Bird Observatory for our third annual Brew on the Bayou here in Lake Jackson. Come sample and enjoy specialty brews from local breweries as well as wines. Listen to live music, grab a bite to eat from local food trucks and check out some hot items at our silent auction. Our beautiful wooded grounds will be lit by torchlight making it a perfect spot to enjoy the brews, the food and the music!
